IYOGA Fest is a residential gathering rooted in the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar. We come together to practise, study and connect in a way that is grounded, spacious and thoughtfully held. This page shares the principles that guide how we run the festival and how we care for our community.

Our Ethos & Values

IYOGA Fest is rooted in the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar and the living tradition of Iyengar Yoga.

We honour the depth, rigour and intelligence of the method, and the way practice can support steadiness, discernment and wellbeing—on and off the mat.

Our values

  • Integrity — we hold the festival with care, responsibility and professionalism.

  • Clarity — we aim for clear information, good organisation, and well-held structures.

  • Respect — for the lineage, for teachers and students, and for one another.

  • Community — connection across generations, backgrounds and levels of experience.

  • Service — yoga as something that extends beyond personal gain.

Iyengar Yoga is precise and structured, and also deeply adaptive. In that spirit, we aim to offer an environment that is disciplined yet warm, focused yet welcoming.

Respectful Conduct

IYOGA Fest is a shared space. We ask everyone attending to contribute to an atmosphere of:

  • mutual respect

  • kindness and consideration

  • appropriate boundaries

  • collective responsibility

If something doesn’t feel right, we want to know. You can speak to a member of the team at registration or contact us privately.

Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI)

We welcome participants of all ethnicities, cultural backgrounds, ages, gender identities, gender expressions, sexual orientations, abilities and levels of experience.

We are committed to creating a space where trans, non-binary and gender-diverse participants feel respected and safe.

Inclusion is not passive — it requires awareness and practical action. Within the scope of the venue and our resources, we aim to:

  • Make the festival as accessible as reasonably possible

  • Provide clear information in advance about facilities, accommodation and the programme

  • Support participants with access needs wherever we can

  • Promote respectful behaviour from all attendees, staff and teachers

  • Respond promptly and thoughtfully to concerns raised

Accessibility & Support

If you have access requirements (mobility, sensory, health-related, neurodiversity, dietary, or anything else), please contact us in advance. We’ll do our best to support you and help you plan your festival experience.

Questions, concerns or feedback

We welcome feedback and will always take concerns seriously.

If you have a question before booking — or something arises during the festival — please contact us and we will respond as promptly as possible.
